Weather Conditions
Cold Weather:
Cold days are often the most beautiful in Finnish winter. At Outinen Horse Riding Centre, our forest surroundings make even cold weather feel calm and dry. Just dress warmly and enjoy!
We recommend:
-
Multiple clothing layers
 -
Wool socks
 -
Thick pants and winter jacket
 -
A scarf and a thin hat or balaclava (to wear under the helmet)

We follow a -30°C limit for safety. If the temperature drops below -30°C, rides will be cancelled. We’ll try to reschedule your reservation, and if rescheduling isn’t possible, you’ll receive a full refund.
Rain or Heat:
Please dress appropriately for the weather.
In case of thunderstorms, we do not ride. Storms are usually short—so we may wait at the stable or delay the ride.
If the weather remains unsafe for the whole day, we will reschedule or provide a full refund if rescheduling isn’t possible.
Safety
-
Helmets are mandatory for all riders. Helmets are also recommended when handling horses on the ground. We provide helmets, but regular riders are encouraged to bring their own.
 -
Use shoes with heels so foot can't get stuck in the stirrup.
 -
Running, shouting, or sudden movements around horses is strictly forbidden. Although our horses are calm, they can startle easily.
 -
Children must be supervised at all times. Please ensure children understand how to behave around horses.
 -
All instructions given by staff must be followed.

In the event of an accident
-
Stay calm and notify a staff member immediately.
 -
The local emergency number is 112.
